Finally, my I-485 reached NSC. Now, I have some time to share with you my personal view on PD.

My I-140 (EB-1b) was approved on july 19 with a PD Jun 24, 05. According to USCIS, At last, my I-485s reached NSC. Now I have some time to share my view on PD.

According to USCIS, after a visa number, through the State Department is immediately available to you, you may apply to adjust to permanent resident status. I submitted I-485 in September XX, and in September, the visa number is current according to the visa bulletin. I have a PD of Jun 14. Therefore, I should have a visa number for my I-485s to be adjuricated.

In deed, I have a friend who met that last cutoff of I-485 submission. I talked with him about this, and he saied that those who filed immediately before him got I-485 approved very fast, whereas he waited two years to submite I-485.

So, this cutoff may not affect those applied before Oct 1. Am I right? Wellcome to discuss.
