Can you please answer my question?
Because the obvious reason, I submitted my 485 late September by myself.
However, I was too hurry and wrote a wrong 485 fee as $317.
Today both my wife and I received the return 485 packages because of the
wrong fee. On the Form I-797, there is no applicatiot A#, no receipt
#(blank).. It reads: your I-485 application is being rejected. Before
you submit your I485 documentation with the USCIS, you must address the
the grounds for rejection as noted below and ensure that a visa number
is immediately available to you.
Your 485 application cannot be accepted by this office for the reasons
as below:
You have submitted the incorrect amount of payment for your submission.
The applications for family members also are being returned.
What sad news! I wish I had enough time to ask your service, but I did
not have enough time after I got their damn news.
My question: will the USCIS has my recorder as a rejection?? Will it
affect my wife’s F1 visa renewal? I believe they did not input my
application into their database, but I want to get your answer. Thank
you very much!
By the way, the original intact packages were return to us.
