Yes, I mean peaceful too but raise the awareness. It's
a decision we have to make, there's risk on either
side.

But in my personal opinion, there's more of it if you
don't talk and don't tell about it in this crazy
everyone-shouts world. Sikhs faced this after 9/11, we
hadn't told the world about our existence and suddenly
after 9/11, people started attaching the Sikhs.

Lawmakers care about opinions of two categories:
1. Businesses - because they contribute to their
campaign and help improve the economy of their local
constituency

2. Individuals - Because they are a vote bank! Simple
as that.

Unfortunately, Indians have not been helped by (1).
Because they know that we will quietly work, no matter
what. So, why fight for folks who won't fight for
themselves? I wouldn't if I were them.

Regarding (2), we haven't done anything. Indians are
not large in numbers, they don't stick together and
not to mention, would rather eat Samosas everyday with
a desi movie than get involved politically to take
care of such issues on a regular basis (harsh but true
words!)

I know it will take unity. I also wanted to see how
many folks would respond, as that would give me an
estimation of the real spirit and enthusiasm behind a
"whatever-it-takes" desire to solve this issue.
Apparently, from the responses, there's none, which
substantiates my claim that we as INDIANS, are NOT
READY YET when it comes to fighting for our rights.

If immigration is NOT A RIGHT BUT A BENEFIT, then why
shout for it that bad? WHY? Why don't you keep quiet,
and enjoy the benefit as long as you can?

In closing, "Drastic times need Drastic measures!"
