My friend is a J-1 visa holder. He really hates the current job and the boss. He is just wondering if he could fire the boss. Is it legal for him to stay in US while his I-140/485 is pending? He is also prepared to face the worst situation (return to China) if his I-140 gets rejected. I just heard that it is very risky for J-1 holder to submit the green card application. But don't know the detailed regardsing it. So I turn to this forum for his question. Thanks.
