I applied B1/2 visa to US to visit my wife during Christmas today in US embassy in London, who is holding a J1 visa. The consular officer refused to give me the visa at that moment because I could't provide my CV he asked for. Then he asked me to fax my CV to Petition Unit and said the whole procedure would take about 3 to 4 weeks. Could anyone please tell me why they ask for it and will affect the visa approvment? Thanks a lot! BTW, Currently I am working for my Ph.D in one England university.
