Our I-485 is under "Security Check" now.
On Nov.7, after I found the NSC processing date (May, 2005) already passed our I-485 filling time( Nov.2004), I called 1-800 number and today I received an email from "CRIS" and was told that "we are awaiting for the results of the required security check... "
I have no idea how long it will take and what I can do now. May I reply the email and ask them when and what I can do for that and whom I can talk to? Also, at my local, I know this city's FBI director (indirectly), can I ask for the help, I mean if this can be helpful?
