My wife and I applied for green card, and now our 485 is pending. I am the primary applicant.
We applied for EAD and Advanced Parol and went back to China in the past summer. After we came back, I updated my I-9 form by using my EAD. So now my stuatus has been changed from H1B to AOS. My wife used to hold H4 visa. She applied for the EAD mainly for getting a social security number. Now she doesn't plan to work in the following several years.
Two questions:
1) Does she have to renew her EAD (her EAD will be expired in about two months)?
2) what is her current status? Still H4 (but my H1B is not valid anymore)? or AOS (but she doesn't work and cannot update her I-9 form)? Thank you for your advices!
