about I-485 RFE lund2005-12-02 16:30:38

I am currently holding a J-1 and just start my J-1 waiver process. Due to the ever changing rules issued this September, I was forced to file I-485 (I-140 approved May, 2005). I knew that USCIS has the right to ask my J-1 waiver paperwork at any time. Since J-1 waiver usually will take several months to complete. I am really worried to provide my J-1 waiver approval paper in time. My questions is
What is the time window (days, months?) they will give you when request for RFE?
