My I-140 was approved after the RFE submitted (submitted by myself due to loss of confidence in my attorney). The approval notice was mailed to the attorney, now he is asking for the remaining balance. I do not think he DESERVES that based on the contact by my understanding. The thing is he has both the I-485 receipt (concurrent filing) and the I-140 approval notice.

I just gave the USCIS a call to update my contact address (I did move to another apartment) to my working address. The officer says he has made a request to resend the approval notice to my working address. He also says the I-485 finger print appointment notice (which I have) works just like the I-485 receipt (he makes himself very clear about that). Can I count on the officer's information? I want to apply AP and make a trip to China. So what I would face if I do not have the original I-485 receipt for AP, for travel, and for the eventual Green Card? I gratefully appreciate your insight and kind suggestions!
