EAD Renew question..??!! 652262005-12-28 21:25:58

I just got my EAD which is valid from 12/15/05 to 12/14/06, I know I can renew it 3 months before expiration date, say if I renew it on 9/15/06, what will be the valid date for new card
1. 12/15/06 to 12/14/07 or
2. 10/20/06 to 10/19/07 (suppose they approve this case on 10/20/06)
If fall in the second case, we loose couple of month every time when we renew the EAD

It is from the approval date.

For safety, I think we will renew EAD 3 months
