My hu*****and and I submitted the petition for Canada Immigration at Oct. 2004. Since my 3 years old son is living with my parents in China, we did not include him in our application. My son is born at US. We think we will not have problem to bring him to Canada with us if he is with us at the time we move to Canada, so we planned to apply for him seperately after we move to Canada. Now we received a letter from Canada Immigration Regional Program Center requesting us to do the medical examination - the medical examination for my son is also required. Unfortunately there is NO designated medical practitioners in the same city as my parents and my son. They need make a long travel to other city by train or plane to do this medical exam. It is not convenience for them, especially in the Chinese New Year period.

I have the following two questions regarding with our situation:
1) Even if my son does the mecical exam as required but he can not go landing Canada with us half year later, does this mean all effort to do the medical exam for him right now is in vain?
2) What would happen to our application if my son does NOT do this medical exam? (We did not apply Canada immigration for him.)

Is there anyone here met the same situation as us, would you mind share your story with me? Thanks in advance for any information you provide.

Best regards,
KY
