03/13/2006: Senate Judiciary Committee Update
Report indicates that there were nearly 30 amendments introduced for the Specter's comprehensive immigration reform mark and by the end of Friday, March 10, 2006, the Committee adopted a dozen of them. The Committee is scheduled to act on the rest of the amendments on Wednesday (March 15) and Thursday (March 16) this week. The Senate Judiciary is scheduled to act on the Specter mark by March 24, 2006 and the Majority Leader Bill Frist plans the debates on the bill in the Senate beginning from March 27, 2006.
