need help about change visa status by mail!!!! EEMM2006-04-09 17:14:37

Now I need change my visa from F-1 OPT to J-1. All appointments are booked in Mexico and Canada consulates for next two months, so I have to file by mailing I-539 form. My F-1 OPT expires very soon. But I don't know How long it takes to get new visa application approved . Anyone had experience on this? thanks very much for your sharing!!!!
