我朋友是香港人，因为姐姐很早移民美国，父母也拿到了绿卡，他于04年初通过妈妈申请移民美国，前段时间收到领馆来信，但是有点看不懂。不知道需不需要做什么？大家能帮忙看一下么？

信的内容是：
The above petition has been approved, we have sent the original visa petition to the department of state national visa center(NVC), NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that NVC will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.
The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning(beneficiary) concening further immigrant visa processing steps.
