I am in H-1B and worked in USA for a couple of years. My daughter (12 yrs) went to Shenyang for a H-4 visa with my original H-797 form yesterday. But she was asked for an I-797 form in her name. She was never in USA before, so she does not have an I-797 form (I also asked the INS office and was told that she could not have I-797 form before she come to USA).
Please give me your suggestions what I should do. Did the visa officer make a mistake?
I thought my original I-797 was enough for her H-4 visa application.
