I applied H1 extension in 2006 January, but it was received by INS in 2/21/2006. I out of US went to Canada (I am Canada PR)in 2/11/2006, and hand in the I94 which is the I94 I used to apply for the H1 extension. In 5/31/2006 I got H1B visa and went back US with the new I94 that borders new issued to me, that expiration date is follow my old H1 to 6/30/2006.
Currently I passed my new I94 expiration date, and still have not received my H1 extension(Applied with old I94 number) approval yet.
Question is:
1. Am I still legal working in US.
2. If I get the approval. do I need inform INS about my two different I94 issue, and How to update my H1 extension with the new I94 number.
3. If the H1 extension denied, may I apply H1 extension again with the new I94, or May I still have any chance to stay in US.
