My 485 was approved August 2005 and got the GC by then. My 485 was based on my wife's approved I140 (EB2 NIW), her case is still pending due to security check. Today I received a letter from USCIS saying that my GC approval was erroneous because my wife's case is still pending. I want to know from you if principal applicant's approval has to precede dependent's approval. I would appreciate if anyone could provide me information on that. Thanks.
