For all the heat the US takes it is still the number one country that people want to visit, to live in. More people apply for visas to America than to visit any other country in the world.
And the majority of the wannabe visitors to the US come from Asia.
The US issued about 5.4 million non-immigrant visas last for tourism, study abroad, business and so on.
More people from Asia came than Europe and South America combined.
More people from Asia came than Europe, Africa and Oceania combined.
