Dear experts here,

My hu*****and and I filed our green card application through EB2 at NSC March 2005, and had I140 approved in June 2005. Then we had our second finger print in May 2006 and no updates since then. Last night around 12, we received e-mails from USCIS, saying:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On August 16, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

My hu*****and talked to his coworkers today and they said we might miss something. We are supposed to receive an approval notice first, informing us case approaval and giving directions to local USCIS office to order actual cards. Is that true that we have to go through local office to get actual green cards. Based on what the e-mail we received last night, it seems NSC have taken care of it and all we need to do is just to wait for our card coming in mail. Has the process just changed recently? Please help me. Thanks.
