NC pending for 20 months. My senator is kind enough to write me a inquiry to FBI. Will this work, or just getting another status report?
Letter -
" I am writing to you on belalf xxx, and their desire to understand why their name checks have yet to clear so that they can become green card holders.
While I undstand that the FBI is not solely reposible for processing related background checks. I would be grateful if you would let me know status of Mr. XX's name check security clearance, as it is relevent to your agency, in accordance with the current regulations. Additionally, if you would provide me a written report explaining the reason for the length of time it is taking that I can give to my constituents, I would be grateful."
Senator's office told me the reponse from FBI will come in in 6 to 8 weeks. Can someone assess the weight of this letter ? If this doesn't work, I will file a law suit. I am running out of time. I can't wait 8 weeks !
