xiaobaitu & all experts,
I have a urgent question/for my H1B visa:
I have been working in a university (current employer) for two years with H1B status. My contract was extended for another three years in this May 2006. So my H1B extention was made to 06/09.
I also applied for a job in another institute (new employer). They made a experdited H1B transfer for me and it was approved in Oct 2006.
For some reasons I was unable to work in that new employer at the scheduled time and the current employer still wants me to stay. So the new employer withdrawed my H1B case last month.
My question is: since my H1B transfer to the new employer was approved, does that mean my previous H1B visa becomes invalid?
Can I still work with old employer after the transfer was approved?
Attorney from the new employer told me that my H1B visa would be invalidated if they withdrawed my case. I contacted my current university international office about this situation. They said it was OK as long as my current employer does not terminate my employment. I am very concerned and confused about this.
Thanks a lot for an answer
