After receiving the "favoriable recommendation" regards the J1 waiver from the NVC, I ted the I-130 & I-485 concurrently (without receving the final approval from the INS.) on a family basis.
We got the interview without fingerprint on Nov. 28, 2006.
Here is the result:
The INS officer has all of my cases: 485 & J1 wavier
The officer told us that we can forget about the J1 now.
He gave us a form so we can get finger print immediately (we did it right after the interview) still waiting for result.
Thought this might be useful to somebody, so I am posting to share my experience.
