A friend just told me that his NIW petition letter was filed by his boss (a preofessor) instead of the lawyer. His lawyer (an American lawyer) suggested him to do so because it's just better to have a famous people in you field to support you. To me this sounds a recommendation letter in a different way. Does anyone have such experience? Will it really help? I'm about to file my NIW, but now I don't know if I should follow my friend's way. Anyone who knows about this, please help!
