family-based I485.

Process:
Early Oct ;06, cis confirmed the receipt of I485/130/765/131 application.

late Oct., finger print Code3

Early Dec.,interviewed at CIS, I-130 approval, I-485 still pending due to name check by FBI.

I read the posts by Xiaobaitu , twocents, and hoticecream during the preparation process. Their posts are really helpful. Really thanksful to them.

On my way to CIS, I was a bit worried because we forgot to bring W2 and Tax return tran .We also don't have many documents with both our names on since we were just newly married for several months (In fact, we only have two such documents). But, when I first saw the officer, I felt relieved. The officer looked nice (a Chinese laday, perhaps ABC)and she really was. She didn't ask for w2 and tax return. she just asked for my hu*****and's employment verification letter. Also, she didn't look at our pictures (although I brought around 400 photos to prove our marriage) and didn't ask for two photos for her filing (I read several posts saying the officer will ask for two photos for filing). The whole process took around 20 minutes. Then the lady said that she approved the I130, but due to the delay of name check, I485 is still pending. We asked when the NC would be cleared, she said she had no idea because CIS has no control over FBI. She said ,"only a few lucky ones get name check cleared in a short time before the interview, most people are not so lucky." She also reminded us to keep documents with both our names in the future since we will need them in two years. A really nice lady.

So, guess I have to wait patiently? Normally, once the Name check is cleared, will CIS remember my case and send me green card? Or, do I need to prompt/push them? After the interview with the approval of I130, there won't be RFE any more, right?
