Help!!! How long does I-485 background check take? uuy2006-12-30 04:46:59

Hi, my I-485 is marriage based. I had an interview on Jan. this year. And now my I-485 is still pending due to the background check. I wonder how long I still have to wait. Is anything I can do except for calling the customer service center? I had H1B before I married and my H1B will expire on May, 2007. Do I need to review my H1B or just apply for EAD while my I-485 is pending?
