I485 pending, can I apply for H1B extension beyond 6 years? wxc1082007-01-18 21:05:35

Here is my situation:
2006/11 I140,485 concurent filing.
2006/11 I140, AP, EAD approved (AP, EAD have not been used yet)
My H1B will expire 2007/4 (6th year), and I asked the immigration specailist of my firm to file for the extension (3 more years based on approved I140), her answer was:
"...You are not eligible for an H extension beyond the allotted 6 years based on an Approved I-140 as we have filed for your Adjustment based on that I-140. "

Was she right?
