We applied our I-485 based on my EB-1 application in May 2005 right after our marriage. I am the principle applicant (My I-140 for EB-1 was approved soon after that) and my hu*****and is applied as my dependant. Fortunatley, in October 2006, my I-485 was approved and I got my GC right after that approval. However, my hu*****and's I-485 has been pending and was transferred to the local office for interview. This local interview request made me really confused becasue I had thought that there was not necessary for the EB-1 dependant. But I was wrong, my hu*****and do required for an interview in the local office.
After a half year, Yesterday, I got the interview notice from local office. This interview is scheduled in Feb and both of us are required to show for this interview. Thus my questions are:
1-Is it NORMAL for both of us to show for the interview? I heard that it is abnormal for the EB-1 based case for interview.
2-For my hu*****and, this hould be an employment based or marriage based case? I have no idea.
3-Do you think we will be seperately in two rooms or we will be interviewed together in one room?
4-My figure print was expired last November BUT my name check has been cleared (told by immigrant officer), thus, can I get the stamp right after the interview if I passed the interview.
5-If not, how long I could know the result of this interview?
6-Currently I DO HAVE the 1)life insurance policy with my hu*****and as the benefitiary;2)joint car insurance policy;3)joint medical insurance policy; 4)joint AAA membership; 5)utility bill with our name;6)we have the same address on the Driver license but we DO NOT have 1) lease becasue if I added his name, the price will be up; 2)No joint income tax because I have the tax treatment as a Post Doc here from China. 3)No joint checking, saving and credit card because my hu*****and just graduated from MBA program with $100K studentloan outstanding, thus we decided to have seperate account. As a result, I could have good credit history. We decided to pay off our debt ASAP. So----Do you think the IM officer will challenge us becasue what I do not have??? Please please help us.
7-Does the wedding is so important? We are students and have low income, we cannot afford that. So what shall we do, any suggestions? Thanks.
