1)my passport would expire near the visa h-1 expire date, I could mail to request a new passport. However, it's too close to the h-1 expire date, I wonder, if I didn't leave US, and my passport didn't come soon, would the gap affect my visa status?

2) If I apply EAD and didn't use it, may I renew EAD and extend my H-1B at the same time?

3) If my spouse use EAD, does it mean his h4 needn't and couldn't be extended any longer, right? His status would valid based on EAD? If he didn't renew EAD at right time, would he be out of status?

4) If I apply AP,and I apply H-1B when I back home but not use AP, does it mean the same as if I didn't apply AP? Or I must tell the officer I have AP?
