my H1B (first 3 years) will expire on July 18, 2007 (and i will stay will my current employer till the expiration date), my new job starts on August 11, 2007 and I want my new employer to extend my H1B from that date (August 11, 2007) (they won't extend it from July 18, 2007).
But the attorney keeps on telling me that there can be no gap. But you both told me that small gap might not be a problem.
What can I do? Do you have some links to USCIS documents about this?
