I am currently a full time PHD student(F1 visa) and almost finished my courses. But for some reason, my advisor does not have funding so I have to support myself.
I've found a job in my university accounting department. I think it is possible for them to hire me as a regular employment(I have not talked to them about this) because I read from some articles that this kind of job does not occupy the H1B quota.
My question is: Does I need to change visa if I transfer to part time phd student?
Is this good for me to transfer visa now( especially for GC application). I only have bachelor's degree now.
If I fail in the H1B application, will it affect my current f1 status?
