I read your response regarding 孩子上大学可以享有绿卡同等待遇 posted two days ago and you pointed out “almost Public University will treat a parolee as a permanent resident”.
My daughter has been accepted and awarded the scholarships by University of California, Los Angeles, University of California, Irvin, and University of Southern California. It seems she will lose all of the opportunities of the scholarships because all of these universities asked us provide with copies of Alien Registration Receipt Card (I-151 or I551) or Section 212 (d) (5) – Parolee. We have filed I-485 and FAFSA.
My questions are
1. What is Section 212 (d) (5) – Parolee?
2. How to define being a Parolee?
3. Do you think we are eligible for the scholarships?
