Hello, If you have time, I would be really appreciative if you could give me some information regarding the following questions about H1b and Opt.
I have got a faculty position offer, which starts early Aug, and I will
apply for Opt recently, and if it is not approved by middle July, I will
the premium H1b application. My concern is, if after H1b is approved,Opt is also approved, then will the opt overwrite H1b? If this is the case,since academic H1 B does not have quota limit, may I reapply for H1b without the need to leave US?
I am currently in F-1 and I will defend in July or August, but I still need to register a thesis-deposit class this Fall semester to deposit the thesis.So my I-20 expires in December this year.
