All experts, pls Help!! maintain old Priority Date moneything2007-05-20 01:07:49

My first labor cert is certified. But because my salary is much lower than the prevailing wage. My company will not start 485 for me. They suggest me to change to another group within the company. Then refile LC using perm. Once the new LC got approved,then file new 140. And they told me I can use the old Priority date. Is it true?

In order to do this, does my new job need to be similiar to my current job?
