Had a bad boss, finally I got coverage to change to another job while my 485 pending over 180 days.
The current lawyer said they can continue helping me on GC issue. But they need an email from my manager saying there is no conflict interest. The reason is my current company is a big Fortune 500 company and it is the main client of this lawyer firm. So they don't want to mess up my current employer. My manager said he will send the email. But now he is just delaying... I am not sure whether my manager will do sth under the table.
I have two choices:
1. continuing using current lawyer,
-pros: They know my case very wellsince the beginning. maybe will be
cheaper, they didn't ask to set up a separate acct. Everything from now: $
200/item.
-cons: Can I trust them? whether they will represent my interest?
2. Fine another lawyer, I talked to one Chinese lawyer. To set up an acct: $500. Then everything $250/item.
-pros: easy talk to him and I think he would try his best to help me.
-cons: he is not familiar with my case.
Plus, any good Chinese lawyer you would recommend?
