our status is 485 pending over six months and we will switch job (similar as previous one). We asked our lawyer to file for H1B transfer, and was told it may not be ready before the planned starting date. Our lawyer suggested we could use EAD (we have one) to make up for the time when H1B is pending. Is that a safe way from the legal perspective? Please help.
