My case is

RIR EB2, Priority Date: 06/2004

140/485 file cocurrently at 08/2006 in NSC

140 approved 04/2007

Call USCIS regarding 485 status at 05/02/2007, get letter yesterday saying:

"Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are
actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review
on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not
receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this
letter, please call customer service at the number provided below"

请问有人碰到同样情况吗？什么是additional review?

Maybe your background check is still stuck at FBI.

Just one of their excuse to have you wait for another 6 month

it means nothing. we had the same letter before
