I am holding H1B and company is sponsoring my Eb1b outstanding researcher. I140 has been ted to TSC on Apr and status is pending. Just got a job offer by a small company with salary increasing 20% plus bonus. It is very attractive to me.
I know if I go to work there I will lose my current I140. Although the new company will also sponsor GC, it is a pity to give up after having put so much effort and time (one year). If I keep in current company, who can tell when I140 will be approved (or rejected)? Furthermore, I have to wait 6 months after I485 is ted. I really doubt the company has patience to wait for me so long.
Two options:
1. Stay put. Tell the new comany my status. Or I can tell them I can work part-time for them during this period. As soon as 6 months after I485 submission, I will work for them full time. (Very slim chance for them to agree???)
2. Change job. Lose current I140. Negotiate with them to a).sponsor my Eb1b petition b).Concurrent file 140 with 485. c) Premierm processing 140. (more chance for new company to agree)
It is really a dilemma for me. I reall like the new company, not only by financial rewards, but also from future career perspective. But it is kinda of pity for me to give up current 140.
I am seeking advice from those who has similar siutation before. Maybe your advice will provide me another option which is better than both of mine.
