我是工作签证 H1b 来美，原来打算通过申请 NIW( National Interest Waiver ) 或劳工卡途径 ( PERM ), 咨询了一些办移民的律师，同时上网疯狂搜索有关信息 , 看其他人的经验总结 , 影响我最大的是一个 DIY办绿卡的 人说的一番话“大家都是博士，硕士来美，考过 GRE,TOFEL ，有能力。 大家只不过对移民这样的“游戏规则”不懂或者不熟悉而已，如果我们大家都能够拿出当初出国的哪怕 10% 的精力来研究这个“游戏规则”，来自己申请绿卡 , 绿卡应该拿得下来 ”. 加上想省钱，那几千律师费可是足够 加勒比海 旅游 . 最后决定自己办 . 这其实看着复杂，钻进去研究一番，不是太难 .
在准备NIW需要 的 PETITION LETTER和 RECOMMENDATION LETTERS过程中, 老板支持,也同时准备申请 PERM . 那时有幸遇到老公并结婚, 就开始主攻婚姻绿卡 , 从网上看到 DORA (Dallas Office Rapid Adjustment) 号称 Pilot Program,符合 申请 条件 ，于是按要求准备齐全文件 , 预约面谈 , 从面试到拿到批准信共历时约 8 个月。显然并不符合其夸耀的 3 个月批准优势。但从其他人经验看，从 50 天到 2-3 年都有，所以还算运气。

面试 :
面谈前要完成体检，填好表格，买 money order( 最好按不同申请表买不同数额的 ).
DORA 要求先通过以下网址预约面试时， https://infopass.uscis.gov/info_en.php
一般会约在 10 天以后，打印好 预约面试单，带齐所有文件比预订时间提前 30 分钟到达指定的当地移民局。
7:15am 窗口交齐所有申请文件和费用 , 等候约 2 小时，一个美国老太叫我们名字， 宣试我们所说的一切都是真话后，他拿出我的 FILE ，开始问很简单的几个问题，几乎都是对着表核对名字，时间，地点等，表都是自己填的，事情都是经历过的，所以不用想就对答如流。然后要我们的三年报税表，各自的离婚文件，结婚证，我的离婚证是中文的，所以要求我面试后尽快找翻译并公证后再把材料交到该处（一星期后找的当地提供翻译并能做公正的人完成，老公又去一趟递交补充材料）。准备的照片等都没要。整个过程约 15 分钟吧，告诉说面谈通过 , 让我们回去等打指纹通知 .
GREENCARD PACKAGE :
所有申请表格都可以从 USCIS 网站下载 , 仔细阅读填写说明后按个人情况如实填写 , 懂英语的都完全可以自己填 .

I864 ($0), Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act (My hubby's financial addidavit; proving that he has enough financial backings to sponsor me and he is above the poverty guideline)

1 – copy of my hubby’s US birth certificate and US passport , driver license ; my hubby is going to petition for me, showing that he is USC
2 – copy of my passport, birth certificate ,driver license,I94 form
3 – copy of Marriage Certificate (Proving that we are married)
4–copy of Three years Tax Return Forms;
5 - copy of Joint House mortgage and Insurance (prove that we are indeed living together)
6 - copy of Joint Auto Insurance (proof of joint life)
7 - copy of My Employment Verification (Hib visa)and Pay Stubs
8 - copy of Joint Check Account (We have our bank write a letter stating the account type, amount, open date. If you have Citibank, this document is called the "Consolate Letter")
9 - copy of Recent Bill from our mobile phone family share plan (we "family share" our minutes!)
10- copy of E-ticket confirmation from our trip (we vacation together )
11- Photos
12- copy of previous divorce Certificate
13--2 passport photos of my hubby and me
就这么麻烦又简单。不管有没有绿卡，生活在继续 . 等待时要耐心，材料递上去就忘记它，照样每天开心生活 , 惊喜会在任何时候降临 !
