My current status in the US is H1B. I recently ted my I140/485 application (EB1b)in May. I need to get a H1B visa in Toronto and have an appointment for visa interview next month. I received a call from the US consulate in Toronto and was told my visa application need additional ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING, which may delay the visa application for weeks to months. Does anybody have similar experience? What triggers administrative processing? Is there anyway to avoid this? Thanks in advance.
