I am a faculty in a university now. My I-140 has been approved last October and I-485 was filed concurrently. What is the I-485's approity date? Is it last October or the date we filed I-140 and I-485 together?
I am in Texas center, which is very slow in I-485. According to the processing time, I have to wait for more than two years from now. The problem is that I have to leave my current university next August. I need to find another job. If I find a one-year visiting faculty positin, since the position is temperory, in the case that I have to submit REF such as payrol stub, will this visiting position hurt my Gc application?
