Question about I485 filing xywxh2004-04-24 03:23:49

I have two questions about I485 filing:

1) My H1B renewal is currently pending and my previous H1B has expired. How should I answer the expiration date of my current visa status in form 485?

2) Can I still pay the current fee as long as I mail the application out by April 30th?
