The BCIS website said that after I-140 (immigration petition) is approved, the applicant will receive an "immigrant visa number" from the State Department, which determines your priority date.

I filed my I-140 and I-485 concurrently, I am wondering whether I will get an immigrant visa number after the I-140 is approved. Does any one has received this number before?

The following are the words I copied from "How Do I Get an Immigrant Visa Number?" I am wondering whether they are for seperate filing instead of concurrent filing:

USCIS will tell the person who filed the visa petition (the petitioner) if the visa petition is approved. USCIS will then send the approved visa petition to the Department of State's National Visa Center, where it will remain until an immigrant visa number is available. The Center will notify you (the beneficiary of the application) when the visa petition is received and again when an immigrant visa number is available.
