Folks:
I am J-1 in US and I will change to H-1B this July. (I have already get H-1B approval notice from INS, since I was in US at that time I applied the H-1B, I do not have H-1B stamp in my passport) Right now I am traveling in Canada and will go back to US next week.
My question is whether I can still use the current J-1 to get into US, OR I should apply for a new H-1B stamp in Canada?
( Somebody told me that I should apply for a new H-1B stamp in Canada. But I think I am still a J1 anyway? Just do not want the visa applying hassle in Canada)
