I have been working for a big company for several years. But after the lawer prepared the paperwork for my LC application early 2001, big lay-off in the company started. The lawyer didn't submit my application because he told me that it would be turned down if there are people been laid off by the company. Now so many years have passed and our company is now in good status, making big profit, and stops laying off people. Actually, it even starts recruting persons now. I checked with the lawyer a month ago, he said that to submit RIR LC application successfully, the company should actually be recruting large amount of people. So all I can do is to wait. I am desperate now, I have used my H1 for 3.5 years and so far my gc application process hasn't even started! Is what the lawyer said true? Or he is just lazy? Is there anything I can do by myself? Is it possible to hire a lawyer by myself to apply GC? I am a engineer with a MS degree.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
