I am Canadian citizen, and had sponsored my wife (American citizen) to get the Canadian PR. We had lived in Canada for two years. We also have a daughter who has dual citizenship. Then I was out of job, and we decided to move to the US and keep looking.
So now I am in the US, as a visitor (with no record on my passport) and looking for job. We've also decided to settle in the US. So what should we do? She can sponsor me to apply for GC, but how long would it take till I can legally work here? Do I need to go back to Canada to apply and wait?
If I get a job here fairly quickly, and we've already submited the GC application, I will not be able to get the TN, right?
Please help.
