Last week I received I-485 RFE which request ALL copies of federal tax return with signature and date. I have less than 30 days to return all evidence.
I did all my tax returns on the computer, printed them, signed them and mailed them. I didn't copy the signed tax returns (BIG mistakes).
I already mailed I-4506 form to IRS to request all previous federal tax returns. However, in the instruction of I-4506, it may take up to 60 days to get copies of tax returns.
So I plan to print out all tax returns from my computer (so it will have no signature and date), write an explanation statement about I-4506's possible long processing time and attach a copy of I-4506.
My question is: If I don't receive the copies from IRS in time and go ahead as planned, will USCIS deny my I-485 directly or USCIS will give me a second chance to mail the copies from IRS? Is there some better way to handle this?
Thanks in advance
