I changed status from f1 to h1-b in April 2004 but my job was terminated in May 2005. Before my i left the comany (May, 2005) i got the admission and financial aid to continue the Ph.D study. My problem is that the university only filed my appliciation for I-20 (and the f1 application) until July, 2005. And even worse is that i had not received my new f1 until Oct, 2005, which means i had to stay home wait until January 2006 to begin to register course. Does the gap between I leaving my job (May, 2005) and filing application for f1 (July, 2005) mean i was out status for that time period? Thank you in advance!
