Today, when I checked my status, I found this:

On May 25, 2004, we transferred your I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION to an office in NEW YORK, NY for processing. Our office in NEW YORK, NY will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

It's so strange. My local office should be in Phily, why transfered to NY. I called the 800- 375-5283 four times yesterday . This is what happened.

We don't have any info. You need to wait patiently.

The second said:
You can go to your local office which is in Phily to get a intrim card if it's over 90 days.

The third one said:
NO, the phily office no longer issues the temprary card. What you can do is to wait, then when your current card expired, you need to quit your job until you get your renewed one. If you have any complaint, you can write to DC.

We are not sure if Phily still issues temprary EAD card or not. You need to go there in person.

I really don't know what to say. What an effecient INS!!! I will write a complaint to DC after I settle this one down. What do you think, my friends? Do you have the same feeling?

By the way, who knows if Phily still issues the temprary EAD card?

I will drive 4 hours tomorrow to phily office.
Please wish me good luck. If I can't get the temp one, I 'm afraid I really need to quit my current job which is a really good one.

Good luck to everyone here.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated here. Thank you very much.
