(1)Digital Communication Data Compression Software Engineer Position (2 positions)
Work on data compression projects for the MWD mud telemetry communication system. Develop data compression and error correction algorithms for 1-D curve compression and 2-D image compression for low-speed and less reliable communication channel. Implement solutions on data acquisition system in C/C++/MFC/C#.
Responsibilities: algorithm design, software implementation, documentation, in-house testing and field testing.
Required Skills:
- Strong background in software design and coding (C/C++/MFC/C#).
- Strong background in digital communication, signal processing, data compression.
- Background in physics is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
Education/Experience:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Experience in oilfield industry is preferred.
(2)Digital Communications Engineer Position (1 position)
Work on the design, implementation, test, and documentation engineering of a complete digital telemetry system. In particular, develop innovative solutions in digital communications and signal processing such as signal design, synchronization, modulation and detection, channel estimation and equalization, error correcting codes, filter design, interference cancellation, and statistical signal processing.
Responsibilities include algorithm development, modeling of problems, analysis and simulation of systems, final implementation of systems, and field testing them.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have strong digital communications, signal processing, simulation (MATLAB), coding (C,C++) and implementation skills.
Experience designing and simulating digital communications systems
Knowledge of basic hardware (digital, analog, and RF) is preferred
Good presentation and communication skills for interaction with others
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BSEE and at least 3 years experience, or MSEE
(3) Software Developer (1 position)
Work on MWD acquisition software developement.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
OO design. C/C++/C#/MFC. Matlab.
Education:
BS or MS in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, or related fields.
