Recently,my wife was told by her International Advisor that CPT application could jeopardize the Permanent Resident application during certain period. My I-485 has been submitted and haven't received the receipt yet. Based on my research from the internet, after we received the receipt for I-485, our status will be called "AOS". A F1 student in AOS is not qualified for CPT or OPT. However, I could not find anything which mentions what kind of harm a CPT application can do to the PR process.
